Looking After Your Hired Stretch Tent...

How do I look after the stretch tent or marquee that I have hired?

Thank you for choosing to hire a stretch tent from Countryside Events. We hope it provides the atmosphere and impact you envisioned for your event. To help ensure the tent and all associated equipment remain in excellent condition throughout your hire period, we have provided some important guidance below which we encourage you to read…

Sign Off

Once the tent has been erected onsite, one of our crew members will walk you through the tent safety features and ensure you are happy with the rig of the stretch tent before requesting a sign off.

Our team will advise how to use various parts of the hired equipment such as rolling up walls, using heaters and lighting, advising a weather plan and any other queries you may have.

Heavy Rain & Water Pooling

Every effort has been made to ensure your tent sheds water correctly. However, heavy and prolonged rainfall can occasionally result in water pooling to develop on the tent's surface. If this happens, you can take the following steps...

Small amounts of water can be removed by pushing the underneath of the tent (use a blunt long object like the bristle end of a broom).

If a larger pool of water develops, please contact one of our team members who will respond promptly.

Strong Winds

While strong winds can sometimes made the tent feel more active, our structures are designed to safely withstand guests of up to 60mph.

If you are using a canopy-style structure, we may add wind straps during the rig if the weather forecast requires. It is a good idea to check these from time to time, to ensure they feel snug when gently pulled. If they seem a little loose, please contact us and we will advise.

Installing Decorations

We love seeing how our clients style their hired tents! We just ask that you don’t use anything that could damage or penetrate the tent fabric or poles. Cable ties and clear fishing wire are perfect for hanging garlands, bunting, and floral installations.

Candles are permitted, however we recommend using non-drip wax and keeping them well away from the tent fabric and poles. If you plan to use open flames, we suggest having a fire extinguisher onsite as a precaution.
